As a Chinese can I just say that the Chinese one is freakin accurate because everything is either blocks, has wings or has so many strokes that it looks like it wants to kill you.

I think what bugs MRAs and guys like them so much about the word “creep” is that it’s the only word they understand means “Game over, you lose.  Don’t ever go near me again.”  Anything else, they feel they can work around, even a flat out “no”, just means “okay try again later” or “maybe it’s not a firm no, let’s see if I can talk my way into her phone number with another 5 minutes of pushing.”

But “creepy” means that their “shot” is over.  If they’re creeping us out, that means anything else they do will just creep us out more.  Pushing the issue will just mean they’re being more of a creep.  It’s over.  She’s never going to be interested.  Goodbye.  It is the ONLY word we have that shuts off all opportunities for them.  It is the only word we have to set our boundaries in stone.

That’s why they’re obsessed with policing it, that’s why they want it to be unusable, or call it a slur, that’s why they keep wanting explanations and claiming creepy is too vague, because they can nitpick and rules lawyer and push against explanations.

If we say they had bad breath, it means pop a breath mint and try again, if we say we’re tired, it means try again tomorrow, if we say we don’t like them, it just means we need to get to know them better, if we say we’re in a relationship, it means wait until it’s over (or try to sabotage it if they pretend they’re our friend), if we just want to be friends, it means for them to wait until another time, if we hate that they’re a transphobe, they’ll try to convince us they’re really not, if we think they’re exotifying us for our race, they’ll try to dictionary fight us about what exotifying means and it’s “just a preference”, if we say we’re gay, they’ll say that we just haven’t met the right guy, if they touched us and we didn’t like it, they’ll try to convince us we’re over sensitive and it’s a compliment, if they were following us around, it was just them really liking us and not stalking.  On and on and on, everything we say and do will be picked apart as to why it is totally okay for them to keep haranguing us and why we objectively mustn’t rule out dating them.

Hell, there are sites upon sites upon sites, and bestselling books teaching men how to push, talk, pressure, confuse, trick, threaten, and nitpick their way past our “nos”, past our explanations, past our boundaries.  To so many guys, “no” (and any variation of no, including all explanations) means “wrong tactic, try again” or “she’s just playing hard to get.”

So we HAVE to say “you’re creeping me out”, because they ARE, because a lot of the behaviours above are creepy, because not leaving us alone is creepy, because anything else we say gets pushed back onto us, and they refuse to respect our boundaries, and that is fucking creepy!  Creepy is the only tool we have to definitively send a message to a guy we’re not interested.  You’re creepy, if you do anything else towards me, you’ll be even creepier, and THAT they do understand.

And that’s why they hate it so much.  That’s why they want to take the word away from us.  And that’s why we can’t let them.  It’s the only tool we have in a society where nothing a woman says to a man to set her boundaries can’t be picked apart by that man and pushed back onto her to defend, and re-defend those boundaries.

Every time this post comes around, I have to explain this.

Watch Dennou Coil, the most underrated anime pretty much ever.

  • Yes, this is the standard of animation throughout the series.
  • AND THIS IS A FILLER EPISODE.
  • It’s basically about kids with what’s essentially Google Glass: The Game. The whole world is affected by this game. Traffic lights, school, anything.
  • It’s good in the beginning and gets really, really good by the end.
  • Shows the vulnerabilities of children.
  • Well-written children in general. They fall under some tropes but they don’t suffer from the usual fallacies of writing children into series.
  • And yeah, the filler episodes are really good. The whole series is worth watching.

Reblogging as a reminder to myself

 wish this show was longer.

PLEASE WATCH DENNOU COIL IT’S REALLY COOL!!!!!

This is the episode I always think of when I think about how much I love the visuals in Dennou Coil. Still an amazing show that not enough people have seen.

asexual and aromantic visibility is So Important because I’ve never seen a single aro/ace self-discovery story that didn’t include some variation of the phrase “I thought I was broken.”

you scared she gonna strike out yr precious baby boy? OH TOO LATE.

they were doing a special on her on one of the news channels at the gym. i didnt have the headphones so i couldnt hear the story, but one of the photos they showed was of a little girl in the crowd holding up a sign that said “I want to throw like a girl.” For every pathetic, insecure grown man who is threatened by this amazingly talented girl, hopefully there is another little girl who is inspired. But that she has to put up wit this kind of abuse even though she is OBJECTIVELY the best pitcher in the league right now and can throw a ball SEVENTY MILES PER HOUR is absolutely uncalled for. She is truly phenomenal, and those dads can all go eat shit and live

Go on with your bad self

Anybody in the food-services industry who does this to their customers is a cunt who deserves to lose their jobs. Not only is it just down right wrong, but it could be dangerous to somebody who has particular dietary requirements.
Having had the unfortunate experience of living with somebody who works at Starbucks, I have no doubt that this shit happens.

i’m lucky enough to have encountered a barista malicious enough to do this to me - i ordered a decaf latte with soy milk and they gave me fully caffeinated with cow’s milk. cue hours of panic attacks and feeling sick. ugh

Why do some baristas think its adorable and clever to dick around with people’s specifications?  They can kill someone with allergies with this shit.

I get the dirtiest looks when I order anything with soy there. I’m Lactose Intolerant, and this bitch decided to give me whole milk in my macchiato. I took one taste and handed it back to her. She looked at me like I was crazy and said “What? Something wrong?” I looked her dead in the eye and said “Well yes actually, I ordered and was charged for soy milk. This has whole milk, I want you to re make it and get me a manager so I can discuss how your company thinks it’s funny to hand out purposefully wrong drinks when the person they’re handing them to gets sick when those requirements aren’t met.” She stood there for a second looking at me confused and I sighed and said “I’m lactose intolerant bitch, fix my fucking drink before I get you fired on health code violation.”

Do people not realize that most of the world’s population has some sort of lactose intolerance?

As someone struggling to find a job, it annoys me when people refuse to do theirs properly for no good reason. I hope they get fired and someone more deserving replaces them.

As a barista, I do not understand how someone else could possibly choose  to not give someone soy milk. 1) They fucking paid for that and 2) they could actually be allergic and what kind of asshole would actually be okay with giving someone something that they’re allergic to or that would make them vomit? Like seriously… some people. I’m so sorry that any of you have faced people like that.
